Man oh man!
iPhone 3G, MobileMe, OSX Snow Leopard.
This has been an Apple-gasm of a day! I am really glad I didn’t sell my iPhone. It was up on Ebay and everything but as soon as my gut told me to take it off, I did. Then, 2 hours later, I see that huge price drop and breathe a deep sigh of relief.
I feel bad for those who did sell their iPhone.
I’m especially excited about MobileMe, or as Phil Schiller put it, “ActiveSync for the rest of us.” Although it’s pretty much .Mac with a new skin, the main component will be the over-the-air sync with iPhone 3G to the cloud.
Personally, I wish I could have seen Bertrand Serlet’s keynote on OS X Snow Leopard. According to a press release from Apple, it will fully support 64-bit architecture and will incorporate rich media with Quicktime X. This is definitely going to be an awesome update for OS X. I’m sure that this will also be the version that completely does away with the PowerPC Architecture.
